TazamaTech supports companies in the Checkmk ecosystem across multiple modules:

• IT Operations Services for consulting, implementation, and optimization of monitoring and operational processes
• AIOP’s Navigator as a tool to support structured IT operations and service processes in conjunction with monitoring data
• Checkmk Extensions (MKPs) for specific monitoring requirements in complex infrastructures

In the area of MKPs, the current portfolio includes, among other things, extensions for Oracle and IBM DB2 monitoring. Additional packages for other technologies are already in the works.

TazamaTech Releases First Freemium Oracle MKP for Checkmk

With Oracle Listeners Monitoring, TazamaTech Software is releasing its first in-house Oracle MKP for Checkmk and making it available to the community as a freemium solution.

The Oracle MKP package is now available on both Checkmk Exchange and GitHub.

In many companies, Oracle environments are considered business-critical systems. In particular, the availability of the Oracle Listener is crucial for stable database connections and the reliable operation of applications. Although Checkmk already offers extensive features for monitoring Oracle databases, dedicated Listener monitoring has often required custom development or individual workarounds.

With the new Oracle MKP, TazamaTech now offers a streamlined and easily integrable solution for directly monitoring Oracle listeners within Checkmk.

Oracle Listener Monitoring enables, among other things:

• Monitoring the Availability of Oracle Listeners
• Viewing listener status directly through the Checkmk agent
• Integration into existing Checkmk monitoring environments
• Quick deployment as a standardized MKP package

Expansion of the Oracle Monitoring Portfolio for Checkmk

With the release of Oracle Listener Monitoring, TazamaTech Software is specifically expanding its portfolio of Oracle monitoring solutions for Checkmk.

The current package is available as a freemium edition and serves as the first building block for additional planned Oracle extensions. Additional professional monitoring solutions with expanded functionality, as well as enterprise features for complex Oracle environments, are already in development.
